Nowadays, there have been so many negative comments towards young people,such as self-centred,rebellion,less responsibilities and phone addicts,etc..But is this true?

They maybe spend more time playing video games,but they still study hard.It’s one of their ways to entertainment themselves.If we look back to 1900,they did not have electrical games.Some of the young had to work.

It is certainly the case that a small proportion of them have bad behaviours,which has happened in each generation.

On the other hand,in some countries,younger people are more caring towards other people.They attend social programmes,do volunteering work,for instance,helping elderly people in the retirement houses,donating money or books online to disadvantaged children to make sure their educations,some of which are not easy to be caught by us in the daily life.It doesn’t mean they are not empathetic and considerate.

Another,they are more confident than the before,since they are growing up paralleling with the developing of technology.Highly-qualified education ensures them the access to the various knowledge as well.Furthermore,with the invention of internet,now it’s possible to browse the world and know different cultures and customs,even chatting with people from foreign countries in front of a screen.

In other words,the picture is contradictory.It is my firm belief that young people are probably much the same as they have always been.Overall,the standards and environment of their lives are improving,and also the world situation is getting better.It’s confirmed indirectly that the youth are as excellent as their predecessors and even more.
