村里的房子展現(xiàn)出一種特別的色彩和夸張感，人們可能很難想象如此粗暴的社會能造出如此奇觀。據(jù)制作設(shè)計師Kathy Altieri表示：“我們的維京人對自己和龍之間的戰(zhàn)斗有著無限的熱情和精力。他們在自己的房子上雕刻龍頭，并在全村放置尖叫的維京石像，作為他們斗爭和勝利的紀(jì)念碑?！?/p>

The houses in the village offer a fun dose of color and caricature that one might not expect from a society as gruff as this. "Our Vikings have unlimited passion and energy for the battles between themselves and the dragons. They carved dragon heads on their houses and placed screaming Viking stone statues throughout the village as monuments to their struggles and victories," according to Production Designer Kathy Altieri. The look of the houses is brought back into a more realistic realm "by surfacing with heavily textured details such as moss-covered wood, a natural occurrence in the humid Nordic summers," adds Art Director Pierre-Olivier Vincent.
