What is the Samopal ?

The Samopal is a subgenre of hard bass. It is characterized by a simpler "primitive" sound than classic hard bass. (Russian word "Samopal" means Improvised firearm).The Creator - DJ Жестик (Zhostik/Zhestick). Years of DJ Zhostik activity - 2007-2013. Many novice DJs, just starting to work on creating hard bass tracks for a more hard-sounding sound, make the tracks faster and richer. These amateur tracks also belong to the samopal subgenre.

Also, a samopal is often created for the creative self-expression of the composer's inner world, or simply for humorous purposes, for which funny or ridiculous phrases are inserted into the tracks.

Many people often do not see the difference between samopal and hardbass / metal shade. Indeed, the boundaries of these genres are blurred. For an untrained listener, a samopal can be difficult to understand.
