We all have the same 24 hours in a day.
When you see certain individuals achieve a level of unimaginable success, it's not because they have more hours in the day than you. It's because somehow they've figured out how to deploy those hours in a way that is more effective and more productive, and allows for compounding results.

Whether your goal is to take your career to the next level or just to have more control over your schedule, these are the nine professional life hacks you absolutely need to implement in your daily routine:

1. Set alarms for everything.
I know I'm not the only person who lives by the mantra, "If it's not in my mobile calendar, it doesn't happen."
With an increase in responsibilities, you can't expect yourself to remember everything. In fact, it's a waste of brainpower. Just set reminders and show up when you need to. It's that easy.

2. If someone wants to schedule a call, send a Google calendar invite.
Building on the above, if someone emails you are requesting a call--or if you email someone to schedule a call--always, always, always send a Google call invite.

4. Don't start your day by answering emails. Start with your most difficult tasks.
Start your morning with a tough task. Work through the hard stuff earlier on, and save the mind-numbing email tasks for lunch or later in the day. But don't waste those precious morning hours responding to other people's requests.
They can wait. (And that's not out of disrespect--just an awareness of protecting your time.)

5. Do free work for someone you very badly want to learn from.
If you're good at what you do, that free work almost always leads to bigger and better opportunities.

6. Save more than you spend.
Having money in the bank is what allows you to take risks, build more significant ideas, and ultimately live a more fulfilling life. So, by any means necessary, work toward a lifestyle that allows you to save more than you spend.
This, in itself, will change your outlook on life.

#5: HACKS TO GET MORE TIME!
1. Learn to say NO to things that don’t align with your goals.
2. Screw perfectionism. Nothing is perfect. Screw perfect, Aim for “good enough”.
3. If a task can be automated. AUTOMATE IT! E.g. monthly bank payments.
4. Learn to delegate. You don’t need to do everything yourself, let people help you.
#6: THE DIVIDE & CONQUER PRINCIPLE
How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at the time.
Achieving a goal is like eating an elephant, you've got to do it one bit at the time.
You can’t eat an elephant in one sitting. But you can build your appetite for planning–and take small bites out of your biggest goals every single day.
When you break your goals into a thousand small chunks, it will be much easier to stay focused. Why? Because the baby-goals are realistic and motivate you to stay focused.
Therefore…
Presenting the Divide & Conquer Principle
1. Divide your goals into a thousand pieces.
2. Conquer each one of those goals.
3. —> Success!

3.->成功!

#7: DRINK A GLASS OF WATER BEFORE YOU EAT
Nothing counteracts overeating like this.
Try it out and be amazed!
Wow. That was a short one. 3 to go!

#8: CREATE A MORNING ROUTINE
There is a reason that every productivity expert out there recommends having a daily morning routine. How you start your day makes you focused on what's important.
Want some motivation? Productivity coach Zack Sexton’s morning routine looks like this:
1. Water (20oz. often w/ lemon)
2. Cuddles (w/ fiancée Nikida)
3. Coffee
4. Meditation
5. Read something inspirational (often in sauna)
6. Shower (if sauna-ed)
7. Look at calendar
8. Start first journal entry in Evernote (including prompts about something learned, things to be grateful for, and what to focus on for the day)

#9: EXERCISE
I know. You can’t read a self-improvement tip without reading about this one.
But there is a reason for that.
Exercise is amazing.
Why?
· Health improvement —> Adding muscle mass. Weight loss.
· Mental improvement —> Develop brain health and memory. Reduce depression.
· Mental Break from life —> See exercise as an opportunity to take a break from life. A place where your mind can rest and your body can work.
· Capacity boost —> Boost energy levels. Helps you conquer the world.
· Creative flow → Having trouble solving your problems? Go out for a run and experience flows of creativity!

#10: Just do it.
Throw caution to the wind and just do it. - Carrie Underwood
These tips are useless if you don’t start taking action. Every self-help book comes down until this one principle. JUST DO IT!

It’s a wrap. Adopt these 10 things into your life and get ready to conquer.
BTW: I have just created a Facebook group for people who want to increase their productivity, make the most out of their lives and live with purpose. Join it here.
See you on Quora soon!

Jack Epner
Actually, learning for yourself allows you to understand it from the ground up, not as someone else understood it, which means you have a chance to innovate and create, and make something better. What you’re saying is that you should never learn to draw, you should just get tracing paper and copy everyone else’s work… which will never impress anyone OR give you any skill sets.

Knowledge is NOT power.
The only Power is in DOING.

It seems too ideal, i don’t think that everyone have time to read something in the sauna in the morning …

Below are 10 professional life hacks which will make your life a lot easier:
1. Begin your work with the most important/hardest task
This technique is also referred to as “Eat the frog”. According to this, do that task which is hardest and of the utmost importance first. This helps you overcome problems like procrastination, and provides the feeling of accomplishment which keeps you motivated.

2. Plan for Monday, on Friday
Monday mornings suck for most people. If you plan for your Monday before the weekend, you won’t have to play catch-up, you can get back to work. Monday sets the tone for the whole week, so if your Monday is productive, so will the rest of the week.

3. Buy plants for your office
Instead of buying air-fresheners for your office, go down to your local garden store and pick up some herbs like rosemary, mint, or basil. Not only will these plants leave a good smell, but research suggests that gazing at it for a few minutes can reduce your stress and increase productivity.

4. Make a schedule and stick to it
Only making a schedule is not enough. Make sure you stick to it. Set up a reward system to make sure you are doing the tasks.

5. Type the address in last
There must have been moments in your life when you’ve mistakenly sent the mail before typing it whole. This happens to everyone at some point in their lives. You can avoid this by typing the email address at the end.

6. Don’t give a reason unless asked
Whenever you are late for a deadline, the first thing we do is apologise and list out the reasons/excuses for not being able to do the task. The other person might have even noticed that you submitted it late. So, don’t give out reasons unless asked.

7. Make 2 deadlines
For every task you have to do, make TWo deadlines. One is the deadline when you have to actually submit. But make another deadline for yourself which is before the actual deadline. This is to make sure that if something wrong happens, you have some time left.

8. If you’re running late, pick up coffees and doughnuts
Everyone is late to work at some point in their lives. When you’re late the next time, grab some coffees and doughnuts. No one will scold you- instant smiles.

9. Put your phone on ‘do not disturb’
Whenever you’re working on something important, put your phone on silent or ‘do not disturb.’ This will help you concentrate on your work.

10. NeTWork
You must have heard “Your neTWork is your net worth”. And trust me, it’s true. You must neTWork with people outside your office. But have you ever tried neTWorking with people in your office? Start neTWorking with the HR personnel, IT staff, assistants, etc. These people understand how the company works and can help you out in sticky situations. You can even use my app Metvy to do the same :)
