The lack of peace in one's life, or the perpetual need to be working or be busy, stems from one's sinfulness. The phrase comes from the Bible, in which it alludes to the suffering in hell that awaits sinners after death. Now, the phrase is usually used humorously.

②"No rest for the wicked", 或 "No peace for the wicked", 本來自圣經(jīng)。原意是惡人總有壞事要做，永遠(yuǎn)也沒有足夠的時(shí)間把壞事做完。
