What do you think makes life meaningful?

I’m honored to be here and talk about this topic in front of everyone. What makes life meaningful? As a senior high school student, I believe that our dreams and faith make life meaningful.

Dream is our motivation in life. For most senior high school students, their life in school is boring and tiring, as they need to learn all kinds of subjects and face the pressure from ranking. Keep a dream in mind, and when we are buried in books, we can have a strong motivation, which allows us to keep working.

Dream can bring us happiness when we get progress, as it means we get closer to our dream. It’s certain that all of us will face difficulties sometime in life, for me, keeping a dream in mind allows me to persist, which has a good effect on my study life.

Having dreams is what makes life tolerable and what makes life meaningful. Maybe for us, it will be a good choice to find and keep a dream in heart.

How can we better protect historic buildings? Could you give some suggestions?

Once I’ve been to the Great Wall in Beijing. I remembered that I saw someone carving their names on the rocks. Some tourists are lack of the awareness of the importance of historic buildings. As a result, protecting historic buildings is of great importance to all of us. The followings are my personal suggestions.

Firstly, government should take actions. Laws and strict rules must be established in order to restrict tourists. Tourists should learn that protecting historic buildings is everyone’s duty.

Fire can easily destroy a historic building. In my opinion, fire must be prevented carefully. For instance, for those buildings which are in the mountains, mountain fire should be paid attention to.

The preservation of historic buildings needs everyone’s effort and persistence. All of us need to devote ourselves to this career.
