How do you keep healthy?

Well truthfully, I’d been pretty reckless with?my health up until the age of 25. And that’s when I realized my terrible habits had taken a toll on?my body. So now I make sure to eat healthy, which means?good protein, healthy fats?and plenty of fibre. I’m also considering taking some supplements, but I haven’t done enough research yet. Drink-wise, I quit sugary drinks?and stick to?water only. Aside from that, I steer clear of alcohol and cigarettes.

What is your favorite sport?

?

I must admit I’ve never been?a sporty person. I hate getting sweaty. But if I had to pick one, I’d say jogging, since it’s not as intense?as other forms of cardio or weights. And after a while I could get that?runner’s high. It’s a great stress-buster. After a rough day, I find it pretty cathartic to?run for a good hour, that is, when I could?get off my backside?to actually do it.


Are there health classes in your school?

?

Not that I can remember. I mean, if there was, I must have slept through?the whole thing, since the subject doesn’t sound like something I’d particularly enjoy back then.?But then again, I probably should have?paid attention, considering my poor health habits over the years. But?people are becoming more health-conscious?than ever, so I’m pretty sure schools nowadays have started more interesting and informative?health courses.

What sports help people stay healthy?

?

Most of them I guess. Different kinds of sports definitely have different health benefits. Take?cardio?like running and swimming. It’s good for our heart and lungs. And then there’s the weight training?that has really?caught on?recent years. It can help us build muscles. Even light exercise?like yoga and walking can help manage our weight. So they are all pretty beneficial, so long as you don’t overdo?it.

Is it easy for people to exercise in your country?

?

Definitely. It’s pretty common for?young people to hit the gym?after work. Public amenities?also allow older people to exercise. Take the city I live in. Recent years, new mini parks have been scattered across?the city, where there’s?easy access to?a variety of?outdoor fitness equipment. So I think it’s definitely a welcome change and it encouraged?indoorsy types?like myself to go out more.?
